Volunteers Wanted

We need your help! Looking for volunteers to serve on our peer review approval groups (PRAG). Meetings are virtual (on-line or via phone, or fax). Commitment is once per month. Your assistance keeps continuing education alive in RI. Training/mentoring by members of the Cabinet on Nursing Education

Criteria:


• RN licensed in RI
• Member of RISNA
• BS in nursing

Responsibilities:

• Review educational programs
• Applicants should contact RISNA by email for further information.

  Compensation:

• Attendance free at one educational program per year.

There are many different ways that you can become active within RISNA and make a difference for your profession, patients, colleagues and for you. By active participation, you can also obtain skills for career advancement that may take years of on the job training or classroom attendance. Skills such as program planning, event coordination, political action, and health policy analyst just to name a few.

• Join a committee (no election necessary-just volunteer)
• Run for an elected seat
• Become a Delegate to the ANA House of Delegates (HOD)
• Volunteer to testify at the State House on bills that effect your practice
• Attend RISNA's continuing education programs and annual business meeting
